Howdy, I just signed up hoping to find like minded Oregonians who share my desire to protect our 2nd Amendment rights, especially this election year. I bought my first firearm back in the mid-nineties and according to my wife have amassed an arsenal, I wouldn't call it an arsenal but I feel well protected. I belong to the Tri County Gun Club in Sherwood, OR and visit it as often as I can. My oldest rifle is Schmidt-Rubin 1889 and my newest is another AR. I'm hoping to make some 2A loving friends here to help repulse this anti-gun movement that seems to be spreading like wildfire here in Oregon. I have sat on my duff for decades taking my 2A rights for granted. I know I'm late to the party but I am standing up now and won't back down until Oregonian's 2A rights are safe. Thanks arakbossView attachment 454171

It's a pretty awesome range, they have done a lot to it in the last few years, adding bathrooms, wifi and such. I am not familiar with the gent you mentioned. I work nights so I usually go weekday mornings when there is hardly anybody there. Glad to see you made it to the woods.

Yeah it was nice, I was odd and liked the 300 yard and archery range there the best.

Went to the pistol range a lot as well. If anything I miss talking to people there, learned a wealth of information just talking to people. I also need to find a place to practice longer range shots, too many trees in the way where I am.

If you run into a guy with a 1911 at the pistol range nailing targets in the center at 50 yards one handed talk to him... I learned a lot from him too.

The other guy may be on the board now, had a name similar to a character from Robin hood but reversed.

Welcome from Beaverton! You'll blend.
Sorry I meant to write more. Thank you cigars who hails from Beaverton. I have to say I hate driving in downtown Beaverton, too much traffic, darn one way streets and way too many traffic cops. But I use to hit up the Izzys, Tammies Hobbies and of course the Burgerville before Tigard got one. Bought my first car at a used car dealership out there for $299. Your Mayor is like Putin in that I don't think he is ever going to leave office:)

Beaverton, Oregon.... Now in sanctuary city!

I suppose all those Beaverton Traffic Cops will pull over all the ICE agents for various traffic infractions while the Mayor signals the targets to get out of dodge.
Naw, Beaverton cops are pretty cool. I've never had a run in with them. The mayor and city council though seem to be more interested in representing people from other countries than the people who pay taxes here. Most people I know chose to live in Beaverton because it's NOT Portland. Depsite the recent increses in traffic, quality of life in the Beav' is pretty darned good. Property values are going through the roof as well.

I am a conservative and have been since the Democrat Doctor spanked my bum after I popped out of my mom's womb. But as I have said to my more liberal friends on the other side, I will vote for whoever I think will do the least damage to our gun rights. Probably 97% of the time that is going to be a Conservative Candidate but the lines are getting blurred these days. Some House Districts have candidates that you would be hard pressed telling which party they represent. This election is going to be a one issue election for me and hopefully for y'all too. All the other issues are going on the back burner. If we can send a majority of Pro-Gun candidates (from whatever party) to Salem, we will have gridlock on the gun control issues no matter who is Governor. And IMHO gridlock is a good thing.

Oh good old Washington, land of the bump stock haters:) I heard you guys were trying to raise the age for some rifle purchases, what ever happened with that proposal. Thanks for the welcome greeting.
The kneejerk liberal reaction is to crush freedom - it's just too dangerous, you see? Failure to deal with mentally ill homicidal maniacs is not a problem. Guns are.

Welcome aboard!

Just in case you don't know about them, here's a link to GGWG (Good Guys With Guns). They're also on Facebook.

Thanks, my Pop lives in Vancouver, I heard from him that they did away with DEQ testing, wish they would do that here in Oregon.

Not true. They closed the station in Salmon Creek. Now they funnel everyone to the station on 136th (I think that is where it is).
