I often see adds where people are selling used firearms saying it is in 90%, 80%, etc... condition. Is there any broadly accepted definition of what would get a certain percentage rating and why? I've done this myself, but want to know what others think.

My experience is that when someone is selling you a gun, it's rated condition is almost always much higher than if the same person is buying that gun from you. You are buying it=90%, You are selling it=70%. If you use the NRA's criteria and have it printed out with you, you are in a better position to argue one point or the other.
