Pandemic Lifehack: Blunderbuss

Have an old one back in NY. My father uses it as a home defense weapon. He has modern firearms. Just wants to surprise a home invader someday!

For those of us who are blunderbussless, try throwing a rifled barrel on your shotty and see how the pattern opens up.

This is, "The Family". Top to bottom: .50 cal. "Franken Rifle", .63 cal. Matchlock,
.63 cal. Blunderbuss, .50 cal. Traditions, pistol kit. The Blunderbuss was last winter's
project. I have a large piece of bronze, (Strut) to work with now, compliments of a rock
outside of Prevost Harbor last summer. Trying to think of a new project.
OK..The Blunderbuss stock needs a bronze end cap.

Here is the bronze forearm cap, (cut out of my bent strut). The bronze was a bugger to work, almost as hard as steel. I really had to get creative and did a lot of filing with a wood rasp.

I broke down last week and ordered a .60 cal. ball mold from Dixie Gun Works.$37.00. I couldn't pass it up. Soon as I get some balls cast I'll try it out. Should be quite different from shooting marbles.
