Occasionally people get lemon stuff.. but when you look at how much they produce.. statistically someone somewhere will get a finicky product.

Buy in confidence, all the kits/uppers Ive used worked just fine.

I've likely owned/put together 10+ of their kits over the years. Never had any issues with any of them.

I absolutely love their business model, a shot show or two ago the main marketing director said something along the lines of getting as many guns out to the American people as inexpensively as possible to basically flood the country with guns so as to make it harder for government to regulate them.

Been using their stuff for over 8 yrs no issues except the normal shipping time but now all have the issue w/ Brother Joe in house
Done them in most calibers, mate up nice w/ Forged Aero and Anderson lowers.
Bad parts issue was a lot to do w/ the Sandy point run on parts, then there were no bad parts everyone sold everything take this from someone in the trade for over 11yrs and ran a retail store in SEMO for 8yrs

Has anyone built out their AR kits? What's the quality of the build parts, similar to a S&W mp sport?

All of my AR's are PSA in some form. I have some uppers that are not but all of my lowers I've built. Between my kids and I I'd say we're in the low teens in builds.

Never had an issue with AR10 or AR15 builds. The other non PSA uppers fit without any issues.

I like the fact that I can have an FN CHF barrel in one and then because money was lean that month the next has a nitride barrel. I haven't personally noticed a difference between the two barrels.

they work great but now that they are price gouging I wouldnt buy from them again

When supply materials cost more of course finished manufactured parts cost more.

You're going to hold a manufacturer responsible for economic factors?

Next thing you're going to tell us you won't buy gas because it went up 7.4% since the election after being relatively the same price for 6 months.

Hardly gouging. Their prices during this and almost every panic have always been fair. An entire rifle kit at $600 is still an amazing price.

We were only completely spoiled when the same kit was $300.

Beating a dead horse, gun prices have reflected the polarized elections since 1990's Clinton, some of us know this and purchase/sell accordingly

I would rate most of Palmetto's products above S&W.

Spikes has been the source for mist of all their PSA branded lowers.

The information they provide with their listings will allow ascertaining of the quality.

Their current pricing is a reflection of current demand. Product demand is unprecedented. Just look at the number of firearms sales in Jan 2021 and demand is increasing.

This is how many guns were sold in each state in January:

Don't mean to hijack thread, but that information is very interesting.

I love PSA, really.....but

Stay away from any kit with a stainless steel barrel. In the last 4 years I've PERSONALLY seen 6 that the chambers were cut badly requiring work to be shootable. I won't buy anything that doesn't have a chrome moly barrel. YMMV

They work fine, more or less. It's convenient to have a plug and play option so you're not forgetting any widgets or doodads. I do wish they'd sell them without a grip, stock or handguard as an option though as that'd make the prices that much lower and my junk drawer that much less full.

yeah, that's what I'm saying $600-$650 for everything you need.
