"How to deal with.22 scalpers"

Stand them up. Over and over again. Make a meeting place. Push them to go further to 'meet' you. Then don't show. Ask them to hold it for you, then blow them off. If we all did this too them, they would get a job and quit this nonsense. Then there would be .22 on the shelves again.

I bought enough in the past to also just ignore the scalpers.

Ignoring them has the same effect as standing them up. If they are succumb to market pressure sooner or later.
