Yeah about 500 yards from the water tanks

nice work. last year i almost hit a spike with my truck. it popped out and over the 52 road by the 2nd cattle gaurd. then, me and a buddy drove down the 55(dale road) to the john day river. followed the river to the campground;at the very end, turned around and drove back. just passed the camp ground, we saw a branch bull, cow and calf bathing in the river. that was worth the whole trip!


also, just before oriental creek rd up on those hill sides we saw a few branch bulls standing al majestic in the sunset.

i love hunting.

year before last, saw the biggest bull of my life in the oriental creek basin where it didnt burn. sucker was MASSIVE

We camp a drift wood camp grounds. We have seen big bulls and have taken some. Now I'll have to choose general elk season or buck season.

pick up a bow and go there for elk. when i bow hunt elk there this year i'll be in ukiah, starkey and desolation. just general season archery

My daughter and I both drew heppner any bull tag and heppner deer.
Be scouting while deer hunting.
