my big concern...if that's a grinding/whetstone...obviously it's making metal dust/shavings..how safe is it really to eat the stuff from it?? I mean...I can picture this happening...*eating stew; slices tongue open from a shard of metal from doing just that* ow. that said; doesn't a bayonet do the same job? ;) stab the can, then use bayonet as a lever to pry the lid off...or keep stabbing it...unless you happen to have a sharpened bayonet..this works for blade bayonets mind you; not the chinese pig-sticker/tent stakes...
