Trying to figure out if this old Colt has any collectors value.
It's been refinished. Serial number research says it was made in 1904.

there's a huge range of "collectors" who all have individual definition'
of 'what they want'. There's also a huge range of individuals who specifically DON'T want this type of item in their inventory.

There's another sub-group of each of those sectors, who would be attracted
to a wide range of oddball items IF the price is right.

'Old Colt collectors' are notorious for changing their definition depending on
the item they are examining at the time.

Membership in each of these groups seems to spontaneously mutate depending on whether YOU want more for the item than any of them are willing to give.
Good luck.

It's not worth a thing. However, I might be persuaded to take it off or hands and I won't charge you much.

Actually I think it's a fine looking gun and somebody did some fine work on it.

This gun's been taken out of what I'd call the "Collectors" market, but there are still a number of folks that would be interested under the type of conditions @41mag stated. If it functions reliably, even being a 32ACP, you'll find a market if you don't try to price it too high. $400-450ish, maybe?
