Australia didn't have a Second Amendment. They also didn't have a solid Republican majority in both Houses that would veto any such stupidity. Not saying we should get complacent, but if Obama had the power to implement Australian-style gun laws he would have done it years ago.

It's against the law to even carry a pocket knife in public over there (but you can own whatever knives/swords you want). My wife is an Aussie and we travel there frequently, so we keep up with current events over there.
