"The program is funded with money provided to the city as part of the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Relief Fund approved by Congress earlier this year. The bill recognizes that one by-product of the pandemic has been an increase in violence and authorizes recipients to spend some of the money on efforts to reduce violence."

The amount of money misappropriated and stolen that was meant to help people during this pandemic has been atrocious. Too much greed.

This growing number of states recognize that the right to bear arms is an inherent right, not a privilege dictated by burdensome requirements and fees. North Carolina's concealed carry laws require applicants to attend and pass a class (costing around $75–$100), present a photo ID (or an equivalent), be fingerprinted (by appointment only), and pay a $90 application fee. These requirements seem particularly burdensome in a state where courts have deemed voter ID laws unconstitutional. Nevertheless, North Carolina's system does little to prevent crime and instead places obstacles on citizens who desire fully to exercise their constitutional rights.

The near half of the country that now allows constitutional carry understands the inconvenient truth: Someone who is willing to commit a crime with a gun will not be prevented from stuffing that gun in her or his waistband on the way to commit a crime, regardless of any state permitting process. Burdensome permit regimes, especially North Carolina's, punish only those who are law-abiding.

Unfortunately, a lot of WA voters are still in the dark about gun issues. No doubt influenced by the misinformation and slick/easy money provided by G. Soros.

Can't win in the legislature?

No problem.
Just frame it up as an "Initiative measure". No need to read it (details, details and it's too long to read). Rrrrright.....just vote for the slick-sounding title.

And.....(in WA) never mind about any ID requirements (or not), just convey your desire/vote on a napkin (or how about TP?).

Votes to count even if they are mailed in on napkins in Washington state

“So, even if someone took a napkin and wrote the office, the race, and their selection, that would be enough?” The official replied, “That would be enough and we would count that as a vote.”
