Or hit by a vehicle. Lots of that happens around here.

I usually see 2-3 dead a week on the road between me and town.

and that is after the how many millions of dollars spent on animal crossings between you and Bend??

'Me and town' is between ME and LaPine and that is on a secondary, county road - I don't need to use Hwy 97. I avoid Bend unless I HAVE to go there HOWEVER with regard to the 'animal crossings' (and the massive fence on both sides of Hwy 97 between LaPine and Bend deer/elk vehicle strikes have been reduced dramatically.

The last few times I HAVE gone to Bend I have not seen any dead animals on the sides of the road.

Prior to the crossings and the fences being built deer and elk strikes were common along 97. Sometimes with dramatic vehicle accidents and human deaths because of them.
