The NFL today is a shell of what it used to be. Like nearly everything else, the sport today is just a manifestation of what's wrong with the country.

By what metric? TV ratings? Profitability? I would argue it's nothing less than a juggernaut. I will agree with you that it (and most sports, frankly) is what's wrong with the country.

Its a system of cause and effect. How many of these "superstars" would have made it back in the 80's or beyond? You think having Beyoncé lip-sync the National Anthem on national television or Janet Jackson flashing, I mean, having a wardrobe malfunction, would have been ok back then?

When an organization as powerful and as wealthy as the NFL dictates state policies to add public taxation for privately owned football arenas and can't even have the cajones to uphold the Second Amendment by allowing off-duty police officers and law abiding citizens to legally carry a firearm, then we have a big problem. Don't even get me started on the emasculated idol worship of the modern bullied football player.

Yes, it is their policy, and should not be seen as just shutting down DD, but the question is why is it their policy? How is that add offensive to anyone? I guess maybe it is if you are a paranoid pansy who is afraid to protect yourself and your family, and you don't like getting called out on it. Other than that, I can't see how it makes sense to ban adds from firearms manufacturers. It is not a gun ad, it is a public service anouncement.

Just who we need to man the moral compass. Steroid taking, dope smoking, wife and girlfriend beating, sometimes murdering gang bangers with speed and in some cases good hands.

I think we can all be proud of our local hero: Ndamukong Suh. What a great guy.
