Found this site by doing an internet search for WA-1639 approved firearms safety courses. I live about a mile from the Idaho border in Washington, having bought a house five years ago when Idaho and Washington gun laws were about the same.

Boy, I wish I would have bought the house in Idaho! Can't believe how far Washington has fallen the last few years.

I grew up in Moscow, ID the son of a cop and joined the military. Have lived all over the US and been around the world. Moved back here after my divorce a few years ago and have bought more guns in the past five years than I had in the previous 30 years.

I don't hunt anymore since living in Washington, but go with my dad and brother over in Idaho and help stalk and pack out the meat and drink the scotch.

Didn't take long lurking here to see this is a quality site with a ton of good folks and relevant information.

Looking forward to discussing things with folks here.

Welcome aboard...

One thing that is disconcerting about the current gun laws...

It's not the state that has passed the laws but rather the Counties with the huge number of snowflake/socialistic/communistic progressives that got those laws passed...

Just saying...

That goes for Oregon as well... King County and Multnomah County...

Welcome aboard. I live in Washington too but I consider my residence an Idaho address as I'll just abide the Constitution, then move to Idaho when I'm damn good and ready.

I'm also just west of the Idaho border…up near Spokane. Welcome to the forum. It's rare to find an online community like this and I feel lucky to be a part of it. Hopefully you will too.

I'm in the border town of Palouse, WA about 60 miles south of Spokane/CDA. It's funny, but I rarely go up to Spokane despite the much better selection of gun shops and retailers. I usually go down to Lewiston 50 miles to the South. I compete in GSSF indoor matches in Lewiston and have been thinking of attending the one in Spokane.

I don't think anyone has ever accused Lewiston folks of being classy... :D

HEY !!.... I resemble that remark!

:)I admit, we may not always keep our pinky-fingers straight when we insert a full mag, or always stand up when a lady approaches our loading bench....but, we try to keep our dogs off of the good sofa and our politicians from wiping their butts on the Constitution.;)

Welcome from the other side of the state. Wife and I were RVing in the Spokane/CDA
area last summer and have some trips planned for this year in May. I really like the
bike trails in Spokane/CDA area. Especially love the Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes
72 mile paved bike path.:D:D:D:D
Moose on the trail. 2 calf's and a cow.:oops::oops::oops:

I had a friend in Hayden Lake but lost track of him... life happens. Anyway, that general area has changed so much in the last 30yrs. I often wonder.

Buying lots of firearms... yep divorce is good for getting free in many ways!!

I haven't hunted in several years, but like you, I still love to go to elk camp to hang out. Not much good at helping pack meat any more, but I can still skin and take care of meat!!

Welcome!!!
