Need Help With Glock 19!!! :(

So i cleaned my glock 19 gen 3 last night and something was off to me.

I bought the gun brand new a year ago and it only has 200 rds down the pipe. I cleaned the extractor as well, and when i installed it, I think I may have done it wrong.

I looked at other pics of glock 19 on the web, and the ones on the web looks like it is slanted down.


I hand cycled the rounds and it did extract fine, but why does my extractor looks different?

No, I wasn't worried about that. What I was thinking that if its loaded, the extractor should stick out more since its riding on the rim of a cartridge. Unload it and check it out.

It only goes in one way. You can't put the extractor in wrong, it wouldn't fit or stay in place.

If it's not falling out and it's extracting, you're good to go.

Make sure you have your firing pin safety plunger and spring seated correctly if the extractor isn't locked in.

Come on there is like 5 moving/working parts in a glock,how could you assemble it incorrectly?

Your extractor is correct! That small raised area is a loaded chamber indicator that sticks out slightly past the side of the slide so you can visually see, or feel it with your fingers in low-light.
