My top two carry firearms.

Despite a certain hatred toward a particular firearm, I still love the Sigs. (Do not turn this thread into a discussion about that other firearm!) My top TWO carry guns are my P365 w/optic and my P938. Both carried OWB and with spare mags in a cargo pocket. I only carry 124gr self-defense ammo and practice with same grain weight. I really tried to setup my P365XL for carry, but it seems to suit me better as a bedside/HDF pistol.

I am a dedicated wheelgun guy because that was the way I was trained. When growing up a neighbor was an instructor at the FBI Academy Quantico. In high school I learned to shoot his Colt Official Police. I qualified Expert with the .45 in the service, but because I was aircrew, and our TO&E specified S&W .38 Special revolvers. My EDC revolvers now retired are a 1966 Colt Agent IWB and S&W 642 pocketed.

Same. p938 in Alabama pocket holster and p365x with red dot iwb. Grand Power Q1 is Glock 19 size and I carry it when I can. But g19 size is a bit more limiting in terms of printing. Q1 outshoots every non shoulder stabilized pistol I have except grand power X-caliber. Re p320 I have no hate or love for it I simply don't care. When it came out and had drop safety issue I lumped it into the "problem gun" category and never considered it.

A Sig P365 w/ 12 round mags and magguts internals bring them to 14 rounds each

Or

A S&W 642

Top 2 carry guns currently -

Glock G19
S&W 642 snub nose.

Sometimes both are carried at the same time.

Along with a fixed blade, folding knife, SOF TQ and handheld flashlight.

Was taught early on to take of what I owned....the habit got deeply ingrained when in the Army.

Maintaining and caring for firearms is one way to connect with them...and learn about them.
Plus for me at least....I find it relaxing.

Have you ever had any issues with the 938's? I recently got one from 2013 era and it feels like the perfect pocket size carry gun but read a lot of stuff about issues with them. I have not been able to shoot mine yet but really hope I got a good one because I absolutely love the feel of it for a carry gun

I shoot my two tone allot and broke the plastic trigger at like 1500 rounds, upgraded it to an aluminum flat face trigger and Galloway springs. Now probably 5k rounds now and my main carry. The legion came all metal and mag well probably 1500 rounds, also Galloway springs. Great trigger and very reliable.

Honestly, when I carry it has to be perfect and nothing is as perfect as a G17 gen 3…. But, I don't have space for it at work so I carry a 1st gen CPX2 SCCY - yea yea yea. I got it for a song and it hasn't ever failed (well on a torture no clean test it FTE around 800 rounds in) with anything I have fed it and I won't cry if it gets detained after a 'situation'. It does have an annoying hiccup where my finger hits the magazine eject button but I solved that and my grip issues by putting my pinky finger under the mag and have shot it a lot. It'll go bang if I ever need it to.

I am going to try and swap that for a Taurus ultralight 856 6 shot with .38+p ammo. I thought about a .357mag but this is literally what I call a get off me gun and will be used in extreme close contact if it is ever used at all.

I don't plan on being a hero or shooting 50 yards at anything with my daily carry guns.


I also do the flashlight, fixed blade and at least one folder everywhere I go.


If I'm in a season that allows for multiple layers it is a G17 or 1911.

Top two are a Wilson X-TAC or a P365 XL.

Glock 33 or a Glock 43. Prefer the 33 due to the 357 sig cartridge but warm weather clothing sometimes dictates the 43.
