I'm not sure why you would characterize this as the "Obama depression"? Americas economic problems have been brewing for decades and both Republicans and Democrats have plenty of blame to share.
I agree with you second sentiment though... too little too late is the political order of the day.

Johnson didn't get us into Vietnam, but once he screwed it up, it became his war. Same with 0bama and snatching a Depression from the jaws of a Recession.

I see your point.... although I would opine that we place way too much emphasis on the Presidency in general.
Obama's proposed "fixes" could best be described as short term treatment of symptoms when what is needed is an aggressive attack on the disease itself.

There are many different people here with many different viewpoints on various issues. Like religion, discussing these issues here is highly likely to offend and very little good can come of it. We need to be focusing on the things that bring us together (firearms), not the things that have the potential to divide us (politics).
