I'm guessing he uses Hi Points for his videos just so watchers don't cringe at what he does to them, like they would if he used 1911s or CZs. :)

Funny, I didn't hear him say anywhere that he actually likes Hi-Points, but I did hear him say that he hates them and wants them to blow up. He was pretty pumped when he finally grenaded the welded one.

There ain't a Hi Point folding carbine?? There's only these two variants from factory

The Classic planet of the Apes one from 1995 all the way up to 2005ish? .40 cal model shown. .45acp never got that stock.

The current, .380, 9mm, .40 SW, 10mm, .45acp all come in this stock.

There are two aftermarket stocks I know of, neither fold down. The ATI CX7 look-alike, and was rumored (may have been confirmed?) To void warranties along with the Promag 15rd sticks.
And then the $250+ High Tower Armory Bullpup stock kit which looks cleaner and modern... comes with metal Picatinny rails.

Edit. You're probably thinking of the Kel-Tec SUB2000 folding pistol carbines?
The folding stock mod has been around since 2015. I guess nobody makes one for the Hi Point because it would cost half as much as the gun. Or more. :)

Right, but not as a factory/factory supported aftermarket stock kit. The one we're thinking requires cutting the factory stock, to make room for the adapter, right? Whereas there's the bunch of add-on kits that fits Glocks and the like with braces or SBR options, or the Kel Tec Sub2k models that are factory folding PCCs.

Yes, it was a user mod. IIRC there were at least two different ways to do it, one involving an equally cheap but not as reliable folding stock made for some other gun.

edit: Looks like JS Armsco now makes an endplate adaptor for an AR stock, so you really could spend more making it fold than you did buying it.

I love my Hi Point 995 carbine, reliable and fun lil plinker. Haven't had a single issue with mine since I got it in 2002-ish.

Never owned one of their pistols but it's on my long list of "I'll get one, someday".

But this guy who ruined these pistols for a video.... I can't stand seeing any tool get ruined, even if it's an economy pistol.

And....

Matt's a sellout. His channel started off as a regular guy shooting guns. Now?? Come on, he's a sponsored corporate shill.
WAS a regular dude shooting just shooting guns when he wasn't neutering puppies.. but he adapted to YT's bs restrictions on gun content, and now he has Several huge social media channels, a very successful Merchandise distribution business, and still does corny shooting videos on his OG YT channel. Can't blame the guy for growing… I don't think he's selling out of anything he's going to miss unless there is some deep, well hidden behind the scenes issues(which would be tough to hide considering he posts his entire life on YouTube). It would seem he is living the real American dream. Dude has a beautiful, and seemingly happy family… he just remodeled a Giant mansion in Texas with an underground bunker, and he has a gun collection that would rival anybody short of the taliban.
Where is the line between shill, and enterprising young entrepreneur? I have mad respect personally…. that said, I don't see him as a source of serious in depth product reviews or useful information.. that's what TRex, Garandthumb, kit badger, Alabama Arsenal, etc…are for.. His content is based more on the recreational and entertainment value and cool factor…

Aw c'mon everyone. Heads up! The REAL star in this video was the good old and reliable 45acp!!! It shot through everything and still hit the Texas star. The Hi Points were just the launch pad. LOL :s0132:

He's not hurting anybody. I still watch him once in a while. I can't remember the last time I watched the Yankee Marshal. He might be a better example of turning to crap.

Yeah…..the mansion, the constant flow of expensive vehicles and all the other large purchases he flaunts every video put him past relatable for most of us. That WAS his channel's charm, a regular dude hanging with friends (and mannequins back in the day)) shooting guns and making it interesting while doing so. Now it's just a rich dude showing off his latest fancy purchases to us little people.

Demolition ranch - I have attempted to watch a couple of his vids but the content really didn't interest me and some I couldn't make it past the cheesy intros.

Yankee Marshall - Now he is an 'odd duck' for sure. I have watched several of his vids in the past and like some of his content and what he says but I lost interest fairly quickly with him. He has a odd, preachy way of presenting his material with a strangely 'dictatorial' method. He seems to present a dogmatic, 'know it all' attitude and not open to any other opinions.

He seems to be 'drunk' on his own notoriety of those who frequent his channel.
