I'm a bit of a wiser man than to make public threats, but I'm also a bit surprised at this case:

With social media, and the abundance of opinions(o_O)that are as thin as the screen they're viewed on, I wonder if there isn't a 1st amendment issue here. A verbal threat, with no evidence of a plan to carry it out, is just talking mean as far as I'm concerned. Obviously, since this guy owns guns (oh no!) someone (socialist/activist) might say that's evidence of an actual plot, but I know a lot of people who aren't fond of Obummer, and vocally so, and own guns. Doesn't mean they're a threat (they also don't make death threats either, that I know of).

Oddly enough when a (R) president comes in, the crazies will have immunity on threats against a president, in the name of free speech. Backed by the support of the aclu.
