One bit from Tony just now: Court of Appeals did not disturb the facts presented to show arms are protected, but decided that did not matter and applied a (an inappropriate) balancing test to say those can be regulated. He expects the DOJ to cross-appeal to OSC to re-surface the gun facts and maybe get the 'protected' bit changed.

It has been posted before, but here is the link to submit testimony about HB 3075 - this comes up TOMORROW, Monday, March 17 at 1500.

Fill out info, click the "oppose" button, and send them something sane.

I just sent them "Please shelve HB 3075. The lawsuits against Measure 114 are ongoing, and should be allowed to resolve completely before legislative action occurs." (Maybe we can make court constipation work for us.)

The Ds are not going to read what you send anyway; you may give an R a talking point, but polite opposition is enough - make them count the submissions.

Anyone order from gun mag warehouse? I made $300+ order from them and no idea yet if it will actually go through. I dread the next day getting an email telling me they can't ship them...

-EDIT-
Sorry, just found a recent comment stating they still are!

I have a couple of mags coming from them that show as being delivered tomorrow via USPS. I ordered from them through eBay.

Pretty tough to create a pdf or text type file from cell phone. I am unable to submit anything.
You don't need to create a file, you can type in the text on the web site where you submit your testimony. As others have stated, it doesn't need to be a thesis, just a few sentences work. At this point, it's about numbers, not quality, but remember, your comments do go into the record.

I will look again but the first time there were only two options, both required attaching a file with written testimony and no other way. I'm on a cell phone, will try again once I get to my office.

Aside from those who admit to NOT knowing about 114 are a few I have encountered who are in 'denial' about it.

I suspect part of this is because of their lack of knowledge or understanding of the potential ramifications of the bill and are trying to 'downplay' it as though it's just 'words on paper' and doesn't really mean anything.

I have actually heard from two people who have said, 'oh nothing will change. Dealers will just 'rubber stamp' whatever they need to continue to sell guns'

Unfortunately ONE of these is a very good friend of mine, who while a very smart guy tends to be very 'uninformed' about a LOT of things - especially when it comes to politics and laws - and instead of seeking out the answers he finds it easier to 'believe what he thinks' about most things.
And this describes exactly how this state became the cesspool it is. An unholy Trinity of ignorance, stupidity, and arrogance on the part of both voters and lawmakers. Morons keep voting for their own shackles. Tyrants gladly let them do it.

Sent. I also mentioned that the catch-22 policies of HB 3075 are equal to entrapment.
