Yeah his language conveys (to me) that he completely expects these attacks from the left but his main disappointment seems to be that the Republicans don't have a spine or aren't willing to put their career on the line, etc. Politics is a weird thing nowadays because it's driven a lot more by getting paid than doing the right thing for your constituents. There are certainly other people fighting the Oregon battle with us but he seems to be one of the longest standing.

And then there's effing Wayne LaPierre getting a $17 million dollar Golden parachute last year, as his greedy @$$ was being kicked out the door by Leticia.

Your still paying for that as an NRA member, in installment payments. A $17 million dollar check would have severely kneecapped the NRA.
I keep my hope alive as a G.O.A member, which has a significantly more ethical leadership history, unlike the NRA which has backstabbed us on multiple occasions in the last 40 years. It was so bad there, that even board member Ted Nugent resigned in protest

I agree with you, but I'm actually not 100% up with what's currently going on with mags in Oregon. If it's not illegal for you to receive them from out of state, I'm sure our shop in Nevada would gladly send you anything not specifically and currently prohibited

Thank you. We must all do our part But we have to keep our eyes on the leadership. They work for us. Not the other way around.
Wayne La Pierre got a big head, and thought he was entitled to a Hollywood lifestyle. I didn't pay for that, or any of the Chinese crap they hand out as "Thank You" gifts ( bribes). They are still doing that, which makes me think they haven't learned their lesson yet. It's shameful that these past Wayne procedures are still continuing under the new "Leadership".

At one time, I was also an advocate for negotiating with the liberals and democrats. It took quite awhile of wasted time and discussions with my representatives, in their offices, to realize that they couldn't care less about what we think. To them, we are misguided children that simply have no concept of the real world. Since we're putting up a stiff resistance to their madness, they now openly call us racist and anti-semitic domestic terrorists. Of course, the anti-semitic name calling was before Hamas became the darling of the left.

We achieve noting by giving them anything, nor do we achieve anything with rational discussions. They simply don't care and have the agenda given to them by their handlers. Some will call this a harsh and unrealistic attitude, but unfortunately, it's the reality in which we live.

Our God given rights mean nothing to them and frankly, they hate us since we won't roll over and go away. You see it in the hearings and in their offices. To them, we are the enemy that is preventing them from satisfying their egos, contributors, and resume building stats.

Unfortunate but true. You nailed it. These people are now openly Communist in deed,and don't deny it. They just pretend we don't know that. I'm glad that radio personality Jesse Kelley says it about them ( Party of Donkey's) everyday, and Trump picked up on that, and said it during the campaign.

I was talking to a few co-workers and they said that M114 is one of the many nails in the coffin for them about Oregon (others being the possible transportation tax increase and sex offender registry changes). The Oregon Supreme Court has made pro-2A decisions before but I'm not holding my breath on M114 being overturned by them.

I'm growing concerned about what Oregon's future looks like with it effectively being a one-party state now that the ruling party has a supermajority. The only problem is where to go. Many of the once desirable places like Texas, Utah, and Arizona have become way to expensive for a working class family.

While we are functioning in our logical frontal lobes, we also need to remember that we are dealing with narcissists who only seem to function in the emotional fight or flight part of their brains. And they either choose to remain there because it gives them the means and "justification" to virtue signal, or they are truly stupid and believe the media echo chamber. Unfortunately, fear creates the tyrants because, above all, tyrants fear to lose power. The biggest problem IMO is that their unused frontal lobes eventually atrophy and die and they become incapable of recognizing logic let alone understand how to communicate reasonably and logically...so they devolve into vandalism, violence, and rhetoric. And the politicians, while only slightly more mature, devolve into the "screw you" attitude or public temper tantrums.

Trying to convince politicians is pointless. You have to talk with the voters who are on the fence or don't understand how the system works that's already in place. I've had a ton of those conversations. Many who now see things differently. Simply cause we talked….

Plus you gotta get the 2A community to actually vote. But like I've said in the past it's easier to sit back and complain.

I understand going to the hearings, writing testimonials, speaking with representatives but that is all going to fall on def ears. Their minds have been made up. Nothing is changing that.
