No it would be just fine, I have been using 350 gr hollow points for years on blacktail. The leverlution from Hornady is a good choice as well.
 
That caliber will just about quarter them, skin them and create sausage for you. It works better for ELK, or buffalo, since it really can destroy a large amount of meat unless you do a neck or spine shot. I second the recommendation for the Hornady Leverlution ammo, its very effective and adds some range to your rifle, maybe another 50 yards or so.
