I would think that having a militerized LEO force roll up does nothing but escilate the situation. maybe some of the current LEO people on here would be better at explaining why they need this type of equipment. I would be open to having a conversation about it.

If you go to the link above, you can enter a county and see the raw data on everything. The waste is outrageous, Whatcom county sheriffs office spent $1200 on what is listed as "KARAOKE MACHINE". Five "Illumination device, pistol" for $1,800 and on and on. When it's not your money, spend like you stole it apparently.
