M1917 variant - WWII - German stahlhelm - As shown in the photos it has substantial surface rust + pitting, a small dent, and the leather liner has all but disintegrated. I will leave it up to you whether or not you want to take that (the leather) out. I chose not to as I still considered it "part of the piece".
I think this would be an interesting piece for the budget minded/entry collector, or a reasonably priced addition to for those looking to grow an existing one.
I do not have any paperwork with the helmet. I purchased this from a collector who was moving out of town and had large amounts of other pieces in their collection, and from the research I have done I have no reason to doubt its authenticity.
I do not follow this market closely, price is from similar items I have found online, except you won't have to pay shipping!
