IMO 40s&w is a good round. its proven to "do the job"My theory on this, as most people agree the .40 cal versions didn't suffer the accuracy issues like the 9mm versions, was the M&P was designed from the ground-up to be a .40 and was adapted to be a 9mm, unlike many guns that are 9mms that are adapted to be .40s.
whats the capacity on that 45 with that mag? just wondering.

i have a coworker with a "mid size" m&p 45.
never seen one before till i saw the one he owns
he likes it but wants a threaded barrel which is like trying to find unicorn bloodThere was a 45c that is the exact same size as the current 9/40 2.0 Compact 4 inch. It was 8+1. No 2.0 version of this size yet. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
There is the full size (pictured) and a version that is the full size frame with shorter barrel/slide that makes it essentially the same size as the full size 9/40. These are 10+1 and have 2.0 versions.

FINALLY, someone else says this!
Gratuitous M&P gun porn!
That's a 1.0 4" 45 on top and then a 1.0 4.25" 9mm Core. Somebody was asking about capacity on the 45's which are generally 10+1 as stated but they do make a 14 rounder for it. It's a big mag for sure but chock full of yummy 45 acp goodness.

So I take it you like the Apex? I see some a couple different versions out there. Any advice on getting just the show or is it worth it to get the whole trigger kit?
Another M&P fan. I love the way it fits my hand and soft recoil. As accurate as any of my 1911's.I wasn't a fan of Glock when I was a SIG guy. Wasn't a fan of the M&P when I was a Glock guy. I came to accept the M&P and when the M&P 2.0 came out, I became an M&P guy. Sorta. If I could carry a Glock or SIG again, I would. But the M&P is plenty capable and reliable.
Ok so identifies the 1.0 version as one of the old miserable models. Or is it all of the 1st gen models. Thank you.I agree, get a better trigger first...like a full Apex kit.
Next...Better sights, not night sights. Once you turn on a good lumen light, the night sights wash out, and you have normal sights.
With a fiber optic front sight, you'll have a sight that works with ambient light, and even better when used with a good hand held light.
Last, go with a barrel...unless as stated above, you have one of the early miserable models.
