My name is Ron . I should have moved to Oregon or Idaho some years ago.
I mainly mule deer hunt with some elk hunting, Usually hunt oregon.I am also just starting to reload for the 264 win mag first time reloading so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Ron
Best words of Wisdom I can give you. Get a couple of good reloading manuals. There are several goods one to pick from,
and Welcome.
By the way we have a reloading section here.
Lost in Kali? Yeah, family and jobs can do that to you.
my short list:
* get a .264 cal collet and a collet bullet puller. Very handy to fix loading/eating mistakes.
* Get several reloading manuals, Speer, Hornady, Sierra, Nosler, etc.
* Get a neck sizing die. Will help with consistency and will extend brass life. Full case re-size every 3-5 neck sizing to prevent hard extraction.
* If you haven't tried them yet, check Lapua 139gr scenars Lapua Bullets for Rifles - Lapua Scenar Rifle Bullets at Volume Discount Prices, No Minimum Purchase Required
* I am still on the fence about molly coated bullets, but, in your case, since you are reloading for a barrel burner, I'd look into it.
Ah, and, welcome! How is life for a deer hunter in Kali? I suspect you live in NE Kali, where life is more like OR and ID, if laws aren't, hopefully.
