Looking for paradise around Missoula

Okay, So I'm planning a fishing/camping trip around Missoula MT and I was hoping somebody might know of a good spot. What would be ideal is a spot near water big enough for around seven people. I hate going to establish campgrounds so that's out of the question. It would also be nice to be able to do a little plinking. I know I'm asking for a lot but if anybody has a spot in mind, please let me know.
I'm not looking for any "It's Montana, just drive around" responses. I lived there for five years and I know it's not that easy. Any Info would be greatly appreciated.

Head out to Rock Creek....30 mins east of Missoula. There use to be a campground right near the river. Rock Creek is my favorite river of all time. Depending on which section of river you fish you can catch Browns, Cutts, Rainbows....Love that river.
