I have the American Predator in .22mag. Functions well, shoots straight. Rough finish, lots of very sharp machined edges, bolt chatters from the machining marks. Perfectly functional, not pretty, and not smooth. You get what you pay for.

I have the predator in 22 mag and the American rimfire in 17HMR. My bolts don't chatter, but they are an inexpensive gun that shoot really well. They smooth up after a couple hundred rounds. They will kill the hell out of sage rats all day long.
