Children born into or raised in disadvantaged situations have small margins for
mistakes or bad decisions. And the examples they see in their youth are perpetuated
and carried on should they sprout children. It's a downhill snowball scenario. There
are answers to this but sadly don't fit into the framework of our constitution.

For the record, this entire scenario was focused around a firearm and somebody getting shot with a firearm. Not sure how that is not directly related to firearms.

If it were just a blip in statistics that would be one thing but we've got decades of statistics now it's obvious what the problem is. The black culture has been attacked on all fronts, The civil rights movement attacked it in its own way with all the moldy bread handouts just enough to keep them in poverty now several generations into the "universal law of laziness". We still have a country where if you work hard and grind it out you can make it no matter what color you are but most people don't have that drive or awareness at a young enough age to not fall into the trap of the path of least resistance especially when you are surrounded by it.

You have to understand that there is subset of our population that is, in fact, being raised in an essentially feral manner. In fact we're into at least the second generation of it and possibly the third. These are kids...usually in the inner city or similar locations/environments...that are raised without a father in the home or any other significant QUALITY male role model. Many of the mothers of these kids have turned their children over to the streets to raise...and the streets are raising them. And we're at the point now where some of these kids have made it to adults and they, in turn, are now having their own children.

Now if the CA government would have passed some laws against cigarettes, maybe this shooting wouldn't have happened!
