All I know about it is that it has been on display in one of our LGS for a number of years, yes, it was nitro - any nitro load of the same size as the correct BP load would likely have the same effect. Imagine, if you will, using 30gr of 2400 instead of 3Fg.

My TOP load for a .44 Magum was 24gr of 2400...

And the shooter was hurt, although how seriously is not related.

Black powder or if you must , one of the so-called 'Substitutes" only in a black powder firearm*
*Flintlocks do not agree to a diet of black powder substitute powder....use black powder only.
