I was curious yesterday and asked Kel-Tec if they had plans on manufacturing the PMR30 and CMR30 in 17 HMR. They gave a interesting and almost promising response. Thoughts? 20180919_111756.jpg

I would be surprised if they didn't have a few prototypes in 22LR and 17HMR sitting in a closet in the R&D department from previous attempts. The main problems with getting them to market are usually if they can get the gun running reliable enough / cheaply enough to price it where customers would buy it. The other limiting factor is how much engineering time can be dedicated to a product vs the chance they can actually work well enough to be a salable product.

Most people would have their minds blown if they we're able to take a peak into the R&D departments TO DO lists and failed projects bin.
