More over reach by 'common sense' elected officials.
Introduced by Mayor Joe Hogsett as part of his public safety plan, Proposal 156 was initially approved nine to four by the city's Public Safety and Criminal Justice Committee.

The ordinance increases the age required to purchase a gun in the city to 21 years old, bans "assault rifles" within city limits and mandates a license to carry.

Well, there you have it. The end of crime and mayhem for that city. Job done. I do want to see the speech when nothing gets better because they didn't overreach enough.

Just my opinion but it looks like the governments in cities and states are scared to death of the future, it's why they want guns out of everyone's hands but theirs.

Smart states are making it easier to go armed because they know its the good citizens that will stop the violence coming.

You guy s know, that got shot down in record time, RIGHT?

The Indiana Attorney General issued a statement saying that the Indianapolis city ordinance is unconstitutional based on Indiana's preemption laws. The ordinance is still on the books, and will probably remain so until someone with standing challenges it. The leftist's solution will be to remove state preemption laws, much like what Oregon intends on doing.
