Interesting, was her earlier carrier in "education / indoctrination" spent building a client base for the law practice she operated prior to going into politics?

Rep. Meza started her career as a student teacher at South Grand Prairie High School and taught at every level from elementary school to college. She also worked as a nonprofit director overseeing programs in economic development, small & minority business assistance, neighborhood revitalization, historic preservation, workforce development, and job placement. Before serving in the legislature, Rep. Meza operated her own solo law practice for almost 20 years.

always the problem with the media in general, both sides all want you to believe whatever BS they are spewing, whether its CNN or the Patriot press.. bubblegum is bubblegum even if they are telling you what you want to hear.

The idea that "pro-gun" websites are pushing propaganda is hurting support for the 2A badly.
O, l don't know about that.
Hurting support with who? Not me.
Sure, I'm disappointed... I'd like to think our side is better than that. But anti-gun lies don't change any minds on either side either, do they? It's not like the anti 2A zealots are suddenly going to grow a conscience over their side's blatant misrepresentations and lies... to a zealot, the end ALWAYS justifies the means.
I also don't think that misrepresentations help our position. We have the truth on our side and we need to do a better job of exploiting it.

its the middle ground fence sitters that swing votes, if you tell a moderate gun voter a Texas bill is repealing a castle law and they read its not they may look no further and vote for it since you we led them astray. You cant win a debate with false information.... Many moderates think pro gun websites are fake news, where else are they gonna get "the truth on our side" when they read our side and find it false, they are left with CNN....

What? WHAT!! The poor woman must have suffered some sort of brain injury. Doesn't Texas still have loony bins? A place where they will give her pudding and crayons and cartoons to watch.

I'm sorry, but I hope this oxygen thief gets the opportunity to cooperate in a burglar's efforts to establish an equal distribution of wealth. Since she's too ugly to be perceived as an opportunity for others, the event wouldn't be traumatic and her insurance can make her whole.

You know what? This is why I can't be friends with most Democrats.

Seattle has the missing ingredient to this recipe for disaster:
Earlier this fall, Councilmember Lisa Herbold proposed changes that could allow people to be found not liable for misdemeanors like theft, trespass and assault if their offense could be linked to poverty or a behavioral health disorder.

Some times I think politicians are told look, you just have to propose a bill every so often to keep your cushy job. No one reads them. They don't go anywhere and you can claim anything you want. It's a no lose situation.

It's a belief that is commonly found amongst all socialist globally.
You have no right to defend yourself. If you do, you are in more legal trouble than the person who attacks you.

Just look at England, Australia, Canada and many other socialist countries.

In Texas, State Representative Terry Meza (D-Irving) has introduced HB196. Her bill would repeal the state's "castle doctrine." This doctrine allows a homeowner to use deadly force against an armed intruder who breaks into his home.

Now listen to what she has to say...
"I'm not saying that stealing is okay," Meza explained. "All I'm saying is that it doesn't warrant a death penalty. Thieves only carry weapons for self-protection and to provide the householder an incentive to cooperate. They just want to get their loot and get away. When the resident tries to resist is when people get hurt. If only one side is armed fewer people will be killed."
Meza was quick to reassure that her bill "would not totally prevent homeowners from defending themselves.
Under the new law the homeowner's obligation is to flee the home at the first sign of intrusion. If fleeing is not possible he must cooperate with the intruder. But if violence breaks out it is the homeowner's responsibility to make sure no one gets hurt. The best way to achieve this is to use the minimum non-lethal force possible because intruders will be able to sue for any injuries they receive at the hands of the homeowner."

"In most instances the thief needs the money more than the homeowner does," Meza reasoned. "The homeowner's insurance will reimburse his losses. On balance, the transfer of property is likely to lead to a more equitable distribution of wealth. If my bill can help make this transfer a peaceful one so much the better."
O man! What is she smoking?!

What ever brain cells she has left, I would like to examine just to TRY to understand how IT functions. This is......I am lost for words!!
