Does anyone know what import fees if any, would be on a secondhand rifle scope from Germany? Are there still tariffs to be paid? I'm guessing WA would also impose a state tax?

I know the $800.00 de minimis exemption no longer applies so is that what needs to be paid and how much is the rate? A link would be great if anyone has one.

Thanks in advance.

Some of the gun seller web sites that I look at and drool over.... :D
Have mentioned that tariff / import fees would be in place.
And yes....Washington will impose a state tax along with any other damn fee it can think to take your money.

Given how these change on a whim dailey I would just budget an extra 40% or so and be happy if you hit the right day and it's less than that
That's not a bad suggestion.
There's a seller in Germany that has top end second hand scopes with decent prices and accepts offers so if I factor in extra expense I could get a scope at a reasonable price.
I've seen the same model scopes here at the similar prices but not in the same condition as this seller's scopes.

Last time I was looking to do something like this all the stateside suppliers had a "no hand select" notice on the website making me wonder if they even had in hand them or if they were just a drop shipper for the European supplier

Seeing as you're into smelly smoke guns.
This one can be yours for $33,000.00 Aus dollars. Be the envy of all your friends :)

Who was the 1800's equivalent of Macho Man Randy Savage?* That's definitely the appropriate firearm.

* I suspect that many people back then were more hardy and tough than the modern wrestling figure, just illustrating a (bad) joke.
