That was just before Obama started his "guns bad" agenda. Best gun and ammunition salesman to date.
Yep - its seems shortly before this I recall basic primers finally breaching the $2 per sleeve mark - then Sandy Hook - Until then they had 'hovered' around $1.69 - 1.89 for several years prior.

I remember this time well - as I was 'caught behind the lines' with a shortage of reloading supplies.

I managed to 'squeak' by but this was 'resolved' as soon as supplies became available again.

I remember seeing a receipt from 2019 IIRC, $26.95 per brick at Bi-Mart in Hoquiam.
 
8208 for $18.48 a pound; I bought a pound from BiMart for $50 two months ago! I didn't want to but good luck even finding it otherwise.

One thing that stands out to me is that the shipping and Hazmat fees are about the same nowadays.
