"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Winston Churchill

How many of you are in the fight? How many of you voted to take back our country from the socialist left obama's hope and change party? How many of you voted for other than R or D? It's time we got our ducks in a row people.

I'm in the fight. I fight for the folks who can't do it on their own like the elderly, the sick, the young, and whomever else needs a hand. Quote Winston Churchill and call Obama a socialist all you want brother cause that don't make you right. Trust me, the top 2% you seem so eager to help/please in the name of the "American dream" ain't lookin out for you and one day when you find yourself in a bad way and they are no where to be seen, I'll be there to help you to.

It isn't the top 2 percent. Small businesses that were once the driving force behind the economy are going under. Who got bailouts from the current admin? The HUGE corperations. If you think Obama is here to help the common folk, think again.

I fight everyday for what I believe in: a man ought to have the tools to defend his home and family...and he ought to have the tools he needs to defend himself at work and in the economy; that's right a union. The corporations are running over us and our nation because there is NOTHING out there to counter-balance their power. Unions, for all our problems, are the last line of defense.

You want to see your children be paupers, just keep supporting the globalized trade, US without manufacturing jobs, corporate America can do no wrong, weak unions, tax cuts for the rich economy our country has been supporting for the past 30 years. Reagan started this 'revolution' but its continued under both Dems and Reps.

Oh, and before you tell me its "the deficit". Realize, that's just the latest bait and switch. For example, if they just got rid of the Social Security Cap, it would be solvent, at full benefits, FOREVER. That's right: now every dollar you make OVER $106,000 in a year has ZERO Social Security taxes taken out. If they simply made everyone pay the same...millionaires pay the same on ALL their income as a mechanic: Social Security is FIXED...Forever.

So, yes, we must tackle our debt, but we don't have to do it with cuts to the working guy.

Oh yes, the Reagan hating union rhetoric.
All because he forced the air traffic controllers back to work before they crippled the country's transportation system.
    Get over it.
Start voicing a logical opinion about why the SEIU, AFSCME and the AFL-CIO SHOULDN'T be running our government offices and you'll get some traction.

Neither Reagan nor Bush are still in office.
The one that currently holds that office is selling the country down the river on a union built barge that is being steered by corrupt union officials.
That's the one you need to be worried about.
Not the Reagan/Bush derangement syndrome crap your union leaders feed you.

And if you insist on having a serious look into when manufacturing jobs left the country in the greatest numbers, or converted to the service industry because their companies couldn't compete,...
You need to look at Mr Clinton's terms in office.

Stop getting sucked into the "my team is winning" baloney...this corporate agenda goes forward whether Dems or Reps are in office. Just see if that agenda is helping put food on the table.

Stop looking at the world in 2- or 4-year terms too...the economy takes shape over decades. We've been on a bad path for a long, long time.

unionguy, you crack me up with your socialist outlook. The unions are dead, they just don't enough to fall over. Once everyone becomes a union member we will all be equal. PUKE!!!! You can keep your equality and I'll keep my guns and Freedom.

    Unionguy,

You know who Richard Trumka is? He's the President of the AFL-CIO... more than likely your union is under that umbrella (mine is). Your (our) union dues are being used AGAINST you (us), he is in DIRECT league with George Soros who has made it his life's work to bring the U.S. down... into a global economy and new "global governance order".

You are merely spouting ONE facet of the equation, the one facet you are force-fed at your montly local's meetings and propganda in the Labor Press paper they send union members every month. I don't even open it anymore and use it to light fires when I burn yard debris.

And yes.. we've been on a bad path for a long, long time... better go check the voting records of our "favorite" politicos... you'd be suprised.

    Bingo!

Unions are nothing more than legalized organized crime rings. I have not nor will not work union job. I have left jobs that went union.
    I am a capitalist.
    socialism fails.

Tell you what. I'll do that (already have) if you'll stop the "MY TEAM NEEDS TO WIN" B.S.
Why? Because nearly every time the union wins, the rest of us lose.
    Don't believe that?
Then justify union involvement and control in the public sector.
Does a job that is paid for by the taxpayer and overseen by people elected to public office need a union for the reasons you state? NO!
The union is there to perpetuate the job(s) and bleed the public for more taxpayer dollars!
AND TO LINE THEIR OWN POCKETS.

The union(s) keep telling you that corporations make profits and profits are bad. That they somehow should belong to the workers (proletariat). And you keep swallowing that line of garbage like a good little socialist.

Try to learn one thing. Unions don't make or create jobs for the working class. They never did, and they never will.

They are the first to holler about jobs sent overseas, when they are the chief contributor to the inability of American made goods to compete in a price conscious world.

Zeezee--its a long, long way from unions to socialism...but I know, I know....Beck and Limbaugh say unions are socialist so, gee, they must be. Maybe try reading a union contract; you won't find any socialism.

Yes, and as unions have grown weaker since the 1950's...our country has gotten so much better, right? Maybe you ought to think about it for a minute.

Everything the conservatives wanted, we've done: less unions, less taxes on the rich, more globalized economy, more power for corporations, more privatized gov't services, limited welfare...so, is our country better off than it was in the 1950's and 1960's?

Anyway, good luck guys. We've been living the conservative fantasy for 30 years...and look where it's taken us.

UnionGuy, more power to ya! But you are wasting your time preaching common sense to these brainwashed right-wingers. They are not capable of a single new thought in their heads, alas. They insist that one-percent of the population deserves to posses 34% of the wealth of the nation---more than the other NINETY percent of the population (US Labor Dept statistics)! Give the Righties some vaseline so they can bend over for Donald Trump and Michael Bloomberg and the other billionaires! Give the filthy rich folks some more tax breaks and they might buy some more yachts so some money might trickle down to the shipwrights---that's worked great for the economy for the last ten years, right?

Today even billionaire Warren Buffet said that the rich in America were totally over-compensated and vastly under-taxed and that their greed had destroyed the world economy and the lives of millions of working people---but you won't read that in the local newspaper, it was just an excerpt from an interview that was played on "This Week."

So, who is fighting who for what? There are hard-core patriots on both the Left and the Right. Who is it that is insisting that we should be separated over the gun-rights issue? I say it is evil that some are trying to drive gun-rights patriots apart over partisan issues!

"All political power has its source in the barrel of a gun"................Mao

"The first principle of revolution is to figure out who the real enemy is."......................elsullo
