Amen to that! I just put screening over every attic vent and around the brick pillars on the overhang leading to my front door because the F'n starlings have been roosting there for the last two years. I did some research and they have a 90% return rate to where they have roosted before. They typically hatch two clutches of 3-6 eggs a year.

If you google "Eastern European Starling Oregon Invasive Species", you will see that these birds are worse than rats for the diseases they can transmit.

Kill 'em all, let god sort 'em out.

I generally only kill things I am going to eat, or that are messing with my pets/animals. I used to pick black birds out of the cherry trees with a .22 when I was a kid though. Made the cats very happy...

When I was an adolescent I hunted rabbits and squirrels. Cooked them over a fire and my collie, Ginny, and I feasted.
Now I enjoy feeding the ones that come in my yard and simply watching them.

Bird neting, it's a bit of a pain but it works wonders.

I pepper the two planters in the front and it keeps the cats out
