With the Way the Universal Background Check laws were passed and the general tyranny of the urban centers in Oregon and Washington, I believe the State Constitutions need to be amended in both states.

The Federal Government was set up to prevent highly populated colonies, primarily in the mid-Atlantic area (New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland) from pushing around the more lightly populated states. That is why the Senate has an equal number of Senators from each State.

Both Oregon and Washington State Governments are set up with both the House and Senate elected by legislative areas determined by population with little or no difference between the state houses. This turns what should be a Republic into a Democracy, ruled by the masses in the urban centers.

Both states need to have the State Legislatures modified to have the House of Representatives elected as it is now (Population based), but the Senate needs to be elected with each county receiving an equal number of Senators.

How to "Fix" Oregon ...

"... The film is set in a near-future crime-ridden United States that has converted Manhattan Island New York City the Portland Metro Area into a maximum security prison behind impenetrable walls ..."

My idea is having cities with a population over 1 million become their own separate voting blocks. Meaning they vote only for things exclusive to the city in which they live, rather then for the entire state.
This would mean a city like NY would only vote for laws that effect NY city itself, not the rest of NY. I think this would give the " rural " parts of states a little more voice in what happens exclusive of the large cities.

Ask yourself how did SB941 and other anti-gun legislation pass. The majority pushed those laws thru! Those now heading up the recalls are discovering some other organizations will not or can not help.

The recall efforts successful or not will highlight weaknesses of the pro-gun/2nd Amendment patriots in Oregon.

As current things stand:
1: An organization needs to be created in & for Oregon to protect 2nd Amendment rights. The bylaws, etc., will be just for that effort.
a: A spin-off has to be able to lobby; a PAC.
b: Locate/find wealthy pro-gun benefactors for $$$ support.
c: Have small business owner (gun shops, etc.) represented. These are real jobs that politicians should pay attention to.
2: This organization needs to function 24/7, 365 days a year in some way. Get it started!

Time for others to play with this for a while. Don't waste time & dollars driving to Salem for a rally, this is defense. Way past time for offense. Anyone living close to these recalls........get out there and help. Donate the gas money to the recall effort, don't spend it driving to Salem.
