How to finish "bolt, in the white"

I just ordered a new PT&G 1 part bolt for a Remage build and it comes in the white. I usually deal in stainless so I don't worry about the finish but what does "in the white" need? Bluing, Cerakote, or Nickel Boron?

Keep it oiled and away from moisture if you don't want it to rust.

You could do all of the above, or parkerized and even chromed.

My main goal is protection from moisture because it will occasionally be out in the rain and I'm in NW Oregon so moisture is part of life 9 months a year. Me no likey shiny stuff either, but that's secondary.

What is the receiver and Barrel?

Couple older options
Jewell it and keep it tuned up with eezox.
Eezox is great for protection; I still recommend a good lube.

Long weekend, slow rust blue is not too difficult, if you have the time and if it complements the receiver/rifle.

Shooting and baking Norrell's on a couple 870P's this weekend. One gloss and one flat. Old school with Win red pigment finished furnature, and thankfully an understanding wife.
