Finally found some acraglas. Got the foreend glassed on. Still need to order a red recoil pad from Brownells and figure out a grip cap.
A little sapwood on the African Blackwood should come off with shaping. The piece acclimated to my shop for several months before use.
Always make sure there is ample squeeze-out, and there are pillars (screws) to reinforce. This is after clean-up of the squeeze-out. Wait until it racks up a bit and the use a sharp blade...
Always leave a little in the cup to make sure it sets up correctly.
Numrich sells Ruger steel grip caps. They have nice lines.
