If you do not know but more persons in the usa are killed by illegal criminals than mass shooting.

Giving up your guns to government is like boating without a life preserver.
I can't agree. For many years, from the time I was about about 8 years old, I never wore a life preserver (just like all my friends) when I gunneled a canoe; I never wore a helmet (just like all my friends) when I rode a bike; until the elected nannies (frustrated helicopter and snowplow parents) said "YOU MUST!!!" (or else).
Give up one's weapons (handguns, long arms, sharp blades), well... those of us old enough (or those of us who can read) saw what happened to the Jews in Europe in the 1930s.
Do the nannies (Socialist-Progressives) really think we're stupid enough to repeat that mistake? I'd sooner drown than be loaded onto a cattle car with a bayonet in my back to hurry me along.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
What part of the 2nd Amendment do our duly elected representatives not understand?
Why do these same people want to push John Q. Citizen into open rebellion?

It all started with the 1934 NFA.

Great news!

I received a reply back from Rep. Gorsek regarding the letter I sent him about HB 3223, 3265 and 2251. He said in the letter that it looks like these three bills will NOT be moving forward in committe or get a hearing. If you haven't already written a letter to the House Judiciary Committee please do, it might help reinforce their decision. It would't hurt to have some emails delivered on the heels of the rally.

Could you copy and paste his response into this thread? Thank you

Here is the portion that dealt with the bills:

"It looks like these bills aren't moving forward and will likely not get a hearing. I think you will find any of the bills that report out of committee will conform to the court's (Justice Scalia's) opinion in DC v. Heller."

Is there any update for this?

Am I correct that because is under the "emergency" clause, that it goes into effect the minute Brown signs it? As in, we won't be able to legally purchase any more as soon as the ink is on the paper?

I haven't heard anything more on this bill. Maybe with the resistance their seeing for SB 978-5 they are not going to bother trying to push this forward.

I wonder what happened to procedure? I was under the impression that the public were able make a remark or ask questions prior to a vote? I'm not sure they even allow the opposite party to read it. Just submit it and vote without discussion? This not only getting beyond strange, but why isn't being challenged? Most of those that I've seen, not even a lawyer can be an interrupter. It almost seems like some bully poking the neighbor's dog through the fence knowing he's safe. Poking the dog is his fun sport. Feels as if good and honor, and representative of the people is a gone concept. Fill your pockets with the greed, Attention, and take the credit of others hard work. We are starting to understand corruption, and sooner or later it's going to be lights out.

I left Kalifornia in 1991 because of the leftist attacks. We, yeah your included, have let this horse shiit continue so the state is a POS. I found the leftist measage and wanted to share.
