Yesterday I traded into a, from what I can find, pretty rare 1911. The pistol is a Gunsite Service Pistol. According to Springfield, it left the factory in June of 1994, as a Mil-Spec. It was sent to Gunsite, where it was worked over by one of the gunsmiths. There is a lot of work that has been done, front slide serrations, sights, beavertail, trigger, hammer.... I am looking for any more info you guys may have on these pistols. It was build while Ted Yost was running their shop, but does not have his stamp inside.
