It doesn't have to be traction. 0 can initiate some action through the ATF. Wonder what his thoughts are on screwing with the VA. He'd get big pushback, but we've seen Congress is to gutless to resolve anything - Fast & Furious and Benghazi. All this could be one more step toward a Constitutional showdown. Impeachment sound good, but I wouldn't count on the Libs to stand up for a document they've been trying to destroy.i just don't see how this can gain any traction.
That information has no reason to be a part of the NICS check system. Adjudication is the key here, not a doctors opinion.

Butch
maybe members of congress are cataloging all of obama's transgressions, in preparation for an eventual impeachment that obama won't be able to walk away from. i mean, bush was bad (perhaps bad enough for impeachment), but obama is horrible.
per the 5th, 6th, and 14th amendments nobody can have their constitutional rights taken away without adjudication. does anyone know how california is able to get away with confiscating firearms without adjudication? i heard that a woman voluntarily (no courts, no judge) checked herself into a clinic in december, only to have her (and her husband's) firearms confiscated in march. apparently, the nurse at the clinic reported to the state police that the woman had firearms at her residence....(?).
According to one of the articles, a judge authorized the confiscation. I don't know enough about the judicial process to know if that was considered adjudication. I have no idea if the circumstances were a violation of HIPPA law. Perhaps her admittance into the clinic was public knowledge? And from what I understand about California, all firearms are registered, so it would be easy to cross check data bases. In Oregon, the State Police keeps records of used firearms trnsferred through a FFL and also "may" keep records from any FFL sale. We may be closer to implemention of this than we know!
