So, almost like Chitcago and NYC.

It's ok, I'm sure those that bow at the altar of "the government saving them from themselves" will get it right next time.

They just need more laws and it will all work out....said exactly no one with any common sense.

Ironically, the Mexican constitution guarantees the citizen's right to own guns for self-defense and sporting purposes. Unfortunately for law-abiding Mexicans, their constitution also empowers the government to regulate the types of weapons allowed and the conditions for sale. As a result, legal access to firearms and ammunition has been stripped away by laws and regulatory edict. Only one gun store in the nation, located on a military base.

They had a nice little militia movement for a while, seemed like things were going in the right direction. Then the government crushed it. When the governent isn't helping next time instead of going after the cartels first, maybe they should start with the government.

This should sound VERY familiar here. How many gun owners one day say they have a right, only to champion some new gun law compramise the next day?

I recall reading an article that Mexican law prohibits the civilian ownership/possession of any firearm, or any firearm capable of shooting a cartridge that is (or EVER was) used by ANY military organization.

The Germans have a similar prohibition on firearms, there were a lot of Germans crying in their beers when some country's army adopted the Mini-14 as there were a lot of those in private ownership.
