More laws for criminals to break.
It's seems counter productive to even introduce a new law like this that doesn't make it easy to do a background check for private sales, without a fee.

I know that it is a stupid question, but what purpose would a background check on a Seller serve?

I thought that newely convicted felons, and those with a fresh restraining order, were allowed to sell off their firearms. How is that supposed to work now?

I guess even more people will just refuse to comply with sb941 and this new proposed one...

How is doing a background check on the person already with the fire supposed to make a difference? The Las Vegas shooter had 40 guns at one location. That means had had a few dozen background checks. Obviously these attempts at removing Americans rights isn't the answer. It also why Democrats are losing all over the country. He got one vote from me on his first term. He won't get a second? They have to stop trying to make my life choices.

Why were you voting for him in the first place? He doesn't live here anymore - he's been a NYC resident since he got married and only comes back for photo ops. Wyden is New York's THIRD Senator because we keep voting him back into office. We effectively get only one Senator and it's that dimwit Merkeley who does whatever Wyden tells him to.

In other words, business as usual in the Wyden office. Not really news. Now if he decided to vote for reciprocity, that would be something worth reporting. In the meantime, I find his blue lips continue to make me believe he's not well and should probably retire before he runs completely out of O2. I think his brain has been starved of oxygen for so long it's not possible for him to ever recover.
