I always figured there were two reasons to own (a) goat(s).
1) If you have blackberries.
They will keep them under control if you don't overfeed them.
2) If you're going to eat them.
The kids (mine) named the goat and made it a pet, so, not much chance of that.

But the ornery, noisy, pesky little bassturd did help with the blackberries.
And it gave my German Shepherd something to do, keeping it outta trouble.
