I don't see much posted on this.
I have a G19 with this notchy, "eh-eh" thing just as I coming to the "wall" during the trigger press.
There were two of them....you knew they were coming....annoying as hell.
I went through everything trying to cure this, but with no success.
Then I remember seeing a Johnny Glock video on the channel liner and the spring cups.
I didn't do anything to the channel liner but instead focused on the spring cups.
I took out my firing pin assembly and tested it in a spare channel liner.
Noticeable drag. This was probably the source of my "eh-eh" thing.
Tools:
Dremel with small polishing wheel
Polishing paste - I used Mother's
Spare channel liner
Process:
1) Make sure that neither one the spring cup seams line up on the spring tag end
2) Take the Dremel on low speed and start buffing the spring cups working around the cups with steady contact
3) Check for fitment in your spare channel buffer occasionally
It takes a while because this Dremel set up only removes a micron at a time.
When the firing pin assembly enters the spare channel liner freely, you are done.
This was an easy and excellent cure.
So if you have the grittiness or whatever you want to call it, during your Glock trigger press, this could be the cause.
Johnny's video for a visual :
And a giant thank you to Johnny for answering my questions !
