I don't see much posted on this.
I have a G19 with this notchy, "eh-eh" thing just as I coming to the "wall" during the trigger press.
There were two of them....you knew they were coming....annoying as hell.

I went through everything trying to cure this, but with no success.
Then I remember seeing a Johnny Glock video on the channel liner and the spring cups.
I didn't do anything to the channel liner but instead focused on the spring cups.

I took out my firing pin assembly and tested it in a spare channel liner.
Noticeable drag. This was probably the source of my "eh-eh" thing.

Tools:
Dremel with small polishing wheel
Polishing paste - I used Mother's
Spare channel liner

Process:
1) Make sure that neither one the spring cup seams line up on the spring tag end
2) Take the Dremel on low speed and start buffing the spring cups working around the cups with steady contact
3) Check for fitment in your spare channel buffer occasionally

It takes a while because this Dremel set up only removes a micron at a time.
When the firing pin assembly enters the spare channel liner freely, you are done.
This was an easy and excellent cure.
So if you have the grittiness or whatever you want to call it, during your Glock trigger press, this could be the cause.

Johnny's video for a visual :
And a giant thank you to Johnny for answering my questions !

Says the guys with the dremel. o_O
Dremel with a buffing wheel is not quite the same as Bubba and his cutting wheel.

;)

So for those that may not know, in AR World the Dremel is a dirty word.
It identifies you as a hack because so many firearms are wrecked by guys using cutting wheels and grinding bits.
In Glock World it's different.
They are used mostly for polishing and are an accepted tool.

My biggest problem with the Dremel is getting caught.
My wife is a foot care nurse and they use Dremels, believe it or not.
If she only knew where her Dremel has been. :)
At least that's another tool that I don't have to buy !

:)

Whatever trips your trigger...pun intended.

Point being...go aftermarket, get it over with, and get on with training.
Wilson Combat still uses Apex and they wouldn't if it wasn't top shelf.
However, there are some new kids on the block that are doing very well.
I have an Overwatch TAC in a G19 that was plug and play. Pricey at $125, though.
Now Overwatch has just introduced a polymer version for half the price of a TAC.
So for about $65 you can have a premium trigger and OEM trigger bar assembly.
Demand has overwhelmed production though. I have 2 ordered.

I'm not a Glock person...never have adjusted to the difference of the grip angle to a 1911 or the like.

I figured by now there would probably be as close to as much aftermarket items for them as a 1911 or AR, have never researched it.

Thanks for the info. I get a lot of Glock people in my classes...I'll be able to point them in the direction of a few choices.
