Just a quick question. It's been awhile since I've owned a Glock. Found a killer deal on a gray frame custom cut for Red Dot and set forward suppressor height rear sight. Any reason to steer away from a Gen4? I know it was one of the discontinued models. Thank you

What dot is it cut for?
Honestly I don't remember what the guy had on it. He's an employee of the gun store. But he said you can put whatever you want on it as far as a red dot. Nice thing is it's on layaway so I can get one of 2 other 19's. There's another Gen4 and a Gen5. Those are both $490

Huh…. Not sure what cut it has that accepts any red dot. Unless it's the MOS cut which is going to require adapter plates which would be a deal breaker for me personally.

Then you'll only be able to mount RMR footprint optics directly. That's a good footprint to have as long as it was cut by a reputable shop.
The other Gen4 is stock except for the upgraded night sights. It just seems like red dots are all the rage anymore, though I have never ever shot a red dot on a pistol..

I enjoy shooting with a dot. I currently carry with iron sights. Now that we are gunna be rolling into sweatshirt weather I'll probably start carrying with a dot again. Just prints more than I prefer in jeans and a tshirt.

Trijicon RMRs are awesome. That will be my next dot once I have the funds. I'll get one of my G19s milled for one. They are great for a carry optic.
