So, is it not automatic if a Gflex trigger only allows 2 round, vs three or more? Seems like an expensive way to do double taps.

My son told me that his last AR platform that he used in combat had 3 round burst, and didn't have a full auto selection. He said that mostly he just had it on Semi. Their training is largely One shot One kill these days, if at all possible.

Except for the guy on the SAW…..

Colt did market a 4 way fire control group, Safe, Semi, Auto and Burst. Taiwan put them in their military T91 rifles. I think the biggest change was the selector lever's machining, but there may have been some extra parts along with the standard auto sear? Don't quote me on that. Still a NFA item, still not Federally legal post 1986. SB 696 had the potentially fatal flaw of saying that only "duly registered machine guns", can be allowed to have the fire control parts, rapid trigger activators, etc... (when the fact is that having a NFA registered MG makes it totally redundant to get most of these trigger parts other than what it came with)

My son was in Afghanistan, in the infantry, prior to Bidens disastrous pull out. They really try to conserve ammo these days. Man the stories I could tell you if this wasn't a public forum.

But case law has already been developed. SCOTUS already ruled on the Bumpstock. The same arguments apply to other devices that achieve the same thing.

Bumpstocks had no specific law, they were being attempted to be banned by promulgation ordering the ATF to "interpret" them as a machinegun with no change in laws. SB 696 is the opposite: it actually changes the law to make some legal, illegal. The bumpstock ruling has no application as precedent to SB696.

It would make my Glock 19X totally tacticool. Would freak out the Fudd's at the public range. But I wouldn't want to not be able to take single shots. Their in lies the rub for me.

For the same money I can get a chassis system with a brace that would be much more practical.

So they're illegal? I have a lot of bones to pick with the stuff coming but that's one I don't care to fight. Even though where I shoot if LEO's want to train out there they won't pay attention to Kotex's garbage.

If I understand right, if SB 696 passes this year then yes they will be illegal.
Currently they are legal to possess and buy in Oregon.

Well, if you're getting one, don't tell anyone. Kinda hard to come after them after the fact if nobody knows. But I'm not going to spend my money on one anyway. I see no practical benefit to having one. That;s just me tho. If you're a little all want one, get one while you still can.

Again, not yet. Currently, legal to own and use but time running out.

I did not see any grandfather clause whatsoever. Only the usual LEO/Mil exemption, and those who have registered MGs in accordance to NFA; which frankly, is silly because the majority of registered MG parts are all in the trigger groups and receivers; and the binary and "rapid fire activators" and bump stocks have absolutely no use in registered MGs but being sponsored by Prozanski, it is no surprise

That didn't stop certain States from doing just that.
