Delayed Oregon Tax Refund?

I only overpaid the State. I still had to pay a $1500 penalty to the Feds even though I bought insurance through the State exchange.

No refund here. Obamacare screwed us for a 2nd year in a row. We made less money this year compared to last but owed double what we owed last year. And our government mandated insurance policy is a joke. A sad expensive joke.

My son's refund finally arrived last week. Sometimes I feel like that kid has more money than I do.

So, I won't tell you that I filed my taxes electronically Monday afternoon and this morning my Oregon refund was electronically deposited in my savings account...

Now if the federal government could give such a great turn around...

He filed electronically as well, but didn't have a bank account at the time.
It's ok, like I said earlier - good for him to experience Government "efficiency" early.

If the state of Oregon holds onto multiple millions of our refund $$ until the last possible moment, they can earn and keep the interest. Best way to hose them up is to max out the 401k and keep our own money.
